Javelina Card Updates

After carefully considering input from our students, university officials have decided NOT to use Higher One services to process student financial aid reimbursements. All students who are owed a refund will receive their refund through the method used in previous semesters.

If you have previously elected to receive a direct deposit refund prior to Summer 2012, we will continue to send your reimbursement to your specified account. The first eRefunds of Summer 2012 funds began the evening of May 31, 2012.

If you have not previously entered a direct deposit method in MoneyConnect, a paper check will be mailed to the address on file for you. Checks will be mailed beginning June 4, 2012. You may verify this mailing address with the Business Office at 361-593-2616.

What to do if you signed up to use Higher One:

Refunds will not be sent to any refund preference selected on JavelinaCard.com. If you have already deposited money onto the JavelinaCard OneAccount from other sources, you should redirect funds back to previously used bank accounts. More information will become available regarding the future use of OneAccounts for such users.

What to do if you received a card but didn’t sign up yet:

If you haven’t already activated a refund preference on JavelinaCard.com, you may destroy and discard the JavelinaCard. No further action is needed.

What to do if you are a new student who hasn’t selected a refund method:

Go to the Blue and Gold Connection at www.tamuk.edu/bluegold. Log in using your Banner identification number and password. Click on Money Connect and set your preferences beginning in the Refund tab.

Who to contact if you still have questions or concerns

If you still have questions, you may contact the Business Office at 593-2616.

You may also review HigherOne's Privacy Policy regarding any information previously submitted to HigherOne.
