Arianne R. Lovelace , Lecturer of Bassoon

Arianne Lovelace is a Lecturer of Bassoon at Texas A&M University Kingsville.  Ms. Lovelace teaches applied bassoon to majors and non majors as well as a section of the woodwind methods course at TAMUK.

Ms. Lovelace, an Ohio native, moved to San Antonio, Texas in 2009 to pursue a career teaching private lessons and master classes on bassoon and oboe.  In addition to her position at TAMUK, Ms. Lovelace has a very successful studio of private students in and around the San Antonio area.  She is a sought after performer and educator and has worked with some of the best publis school music programs in the state of Texas.

Ms. Lovelace has performed with the San Antonio Symphony, Mid-Texas Symphony, and Kingsville Symphony orchestras.  Ms. Lovelace has performed in concerts, clinics, and conventions throughout the United States and abroad. 

Ms. Lovelace earned her Bachelors of Music degree in bassoon performance from Miami University in Oxford, Ohio in 2005. She received her Masters of Music in bassoon performance from the Jacobs School of Music at Indiana University in Bloomington, Indiana in 2008. Ms. Lovelace held the esteemed Associate Instructor position in the bassoon studio while completing her studies at Indiana University. Her primary teachers have been John Heard, Arthur Weisberg, Bill Ludwig, and Charles Ullery.

In her spare time, Ms. Lovelace loves to spend time with her husband and 4 year old son.  She is an athlete, studying karate at 3T San Antonio and has played on multiple intramural sports teams in the area.
