Dr. Sehee Lee, Piano, Lecturer of Music
Pianist Sehee Lee, a native of Korea, is a full time Lecturer of Piano, Collaborative Piano at the Texas A & M University-Kingsville. She joined the Department of Music Piano faculty in the spring of 2013. Dr.Lee has appeared as a collaborative pianist in a variety of venues across the United States, Germany, Luxembourg and Korea. She received her Bachelor’s and Master’s Degree in Piano Performance from the Kyunghee University in Seoul, Korea. She continued her studies with Anita Pontremoli at Cleveland Institute of Music, where she earned Artist Diploma and Master’s Degree in Collaborative Piano. During her time at CIM, Dr. Lee has received honors including the Rosa Lobe Memorial Award in Accompanying, which is given to recognize the highest level of artistic achievement. She earned her doctoral degree in Collaborative Piano at the Arizona State University, where she studied with Andrew Campbell as a full-scholarship recipient.
Dr. Lee is a founding member of the LOS Trio with flutist, JinHee Oh and cellist, Hyon Jae Song. Her trio won the Alexander & Buono International Competition and has been invited to perform in the winner’s recital in New York, New York.
Dr. Lee has attended the Music Academy of the West (Santa Barbara, CA) and the Kent Blossom Music Festival (Kent, OH) as a fellowship student. As an active collaborator, she was invited to the Killington Music Festival in Vermont, Vianden Music Festival in Luxembourg and Bowdoin International Music Festival in Maine as a staff pianist. Dr. Lee gives over fifty recitals with singers and instrumentalists every year throughout the United States and Korea.
