Hall of Natural History

The Caesar Kleberg Hall of Natural History explores the ecosystems of South Texas and Northern Mexico, the Tamaulipan Biotic Province.  Fascinating presentations of the area’s plant and animal life explore the major ecotypes of the region.  From the mesquite mixed-brush prairies through the oak motte forests and the arid chaparral of the western zone the environment of the region is displayed.  This is a land where it seems everything bites, stings or sticks you.
