| Job Summary |
Tenure-track Assistant Professor in Mathematics with Statistics or Applied Mathematics emphasis. Provides Excellent Customer Service. |
| Job Responsibilities |
Applicants should be prepared to teach courses across the undergraduate curriculum (24 credits per nine months), including core courses, and may teach graduate courses as well. The successful candidate will be expected to maintain an active research program, and ideally be able to involve students in his/her scholarly work. Advising students, and participation in departmental committees, recruitment, and professional development activities are also required. |
| Minimum Qualifications |
Candidates must have a doctorate in statistics with at least 18 graduate hours in mathematics or a doctorate in mathematics. ABD will be considered. |
| Preferred Qualifications |
The successful candidate should have a record of commitment to excellent teaching in culturally diverse settings.
Preference will be given to candidates with experience in statistical consulting, survival analysis, teaching applied courses and developing/revising mathematics or statistics courses in collaboration with other disciplines.
Knowledge of statistical software packages is desirable. |
