Michelle Johnson-Vela, Chair of the Department

Faculty and students at the Department of Language and Literature read, teach, create, translate, and produce words for both the utility of business and the depth of culture and philosophy. The department offers graduate and undergraduate majors and minors as well as general education courses required for TAMUK undergraduate degrees, and it teaches courses that support teaching certification in Secondary Spanish and English.
