Rachael R. Moreno-Bustamante


Rachael Bustamante is a Lecturer of Piano and accompanist at Texas A&M University-Kingsville. She joined the Department of Music piano faculty in the Fall of 2014. Born and raised in San Antonio, TX. She began taking lessons on piano at the age of seven. Ms. Bustamante completed her undergraduate studies in piano under the tutelage of Dr. Janice K.Hodges and in 1989 received a Bachelor of Music degree in Piano Performance from the University of Texas at San Antonio, TX. In 1995 she began her graduate studies in piano with Spanish/American composer Dr. Elisenda Fagregas and earned a Masters of Music degree in Piano Performance from the University of Texas at San Antonio, TX. Prior to completing graduate studies at UTSA, Ms. Bustamante taught elementary music K5-8th grade at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic School in Schertz, TX. She currently teaches music at St. Gertrude
Catholic School and is also Director of Music Ministry/choir director for St. Gertrude Catholic Church in Kingsville, TX. since 2008.

She has been involved in several music collaborations throughout the community of Kingsville as well as with the Kingsville Symphony Orchestra (KSO), in collaboration with Dr. Veronica Salinas for the 2016 4th of July concert and with the Kingsville Ministerial Alliance for a special memorial service on 9/11/2016, both held at Jones Auditorium.
