Alan Seitel, Associate Professor of Practice Communication Sciences and Disorders
Al Seitel received his BA in Speech Pathology and Audiology from the State University of New York at Albany, his MA in Speech Pathology from the University of Florida and his PhD in Communication Disorders from the University of Texas in 1975. He has served on the faculty at Texas Tech University, Colorado State University, The University of Nebraska Medical Center, The University of Texas Health Sciences Center-Houston, and most recently as program director of Communication Disorders at Texas A&M International University. Between university service he has been Director of Rehabilitation Services at a medical center and CEO of two outpatient rehabilitation corporations.
Al has served on state, regional, and national boards and held elective office in several professional organizations. He is a fellow of the American Association on Mental Retardation. His areas of interest are in child language disorders and intervention and in Dual Language intervention for bilingual children with language disorders.
