Odette Gonzalez, Clinic Director

Mrs. Gonzalez is Clinic Director at the TAMUK Communication Sciences & Disorders Clinic and teaches undergraduate courses in phonetics, clinical methodology, articulation and phonological disorders, and graduate practicum. She is certified by the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (Certificate of Clinical Competence) and is licensed to practice speech-language pathology in the state of Texas. She was instrumental in creating the current masters program and has received the Chancellor’s Teaching Excellence Award three times. Mrs. Gonzalez obtained her Master of Science degree from Texas Christian University in 1981 and her Bachelor of Science degree from Texas A & I University in 1980. Twenty-one hours were completed toward an EdD in Bilingual Education at Texas A & M University-Kingsville.
