Odette Gonzalez, Clinic Director, Associate Professor of Practice, Communication Sciences and Disorders

Odette Gonzalez

Mrs. Gonzalez is Clinic Director at the TAMUK Communication Sciences & Disorders Clinic and teaches undergraduate courses in phonetics, clinical methodology, articulation and phonological disorders, and graduate practicum.  She is certified by the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (Certificate of Clinical Competence) and is licensed to practice speech-language pathology in the state of Texas.  She was instrumental in creating the current Master’s Program and received the Chancellor’s Teaching Excellence Award 2009-2012.  Mrs. Gonzalez obtained her Master of Science degree from Texas Christian University in 1981 and her Bachelor of Science degree from Texas A & I University in 1980.  Twenty-one hours were completed toward an EdD in Bilingual Education at Texas A & M University-Kingsville.
