Leveling Students

Application Procedure for Leveling Program: Post-Baccalaureate in Non-major field

The following information is for the prospective  students who wish to take the leveling pre-requisite  course sequences as a non-degree program in Communication Sciences and Disorders at Texas A&M University-Kingsville.  You must have completed an undergraduate degree in another field. 

1. Complete and forward the application form "Admission to the Leveling Program in Communication Sciences and Disorders (CSDO)".

2. Request three rating forms be completed from individuals who are able to evaluate the candidate qualifications for studies in CSDO. Forms can be forwarded to Dr. Ball directly from the individual or from yourself.

3. Go to the University web site and complete the on-line common application form and pay the application fee (www.tamuk.edu/apply).  Select the admission choice of Transfer Student, then under Educational Background indicate that you have a Bachelor’s Degree.

4. Have an official record of GRE (cannot be older than 5 years) forwarded to TAMUK.

5. Have official transcripts from all institutions of higher education attended, both undergraduate and graduate forwarded to TAMUK.  If a degree(s) has been completed, it must be posted on the official transcript.

6. If appropriate, submit TOEFL results (for international students).

All admission materials are to be received by the institution by April 1st of each year for consideration for summer or Fall admission, and November 1st for Spring admission.  Admission consideration will not be considered until the department and institution have received all required admission materials.  It is the responsibility of the prospective student to ensure that his/her file is complete by the deadline.

 Selected candidates will be notified by mail of the admission decision by May 1 for Fall start and Dec 1 for Spring start.
