Gold was dated back to very early times, and has been a valuable asset ever since.
Gold is found free in nature and is widely distributed and is almost always associated
with quartz or pyrite. It is almost always found by using the panning techniques.
Nearly two thirds of the world's output of Gold comes from Africa, and about two thirds of
the U.S. output of Gold comes from South Dakota. Recovering Gold from sea water has
not been a profitable venture for anybody.
