Description

Standard State: gas at 298 K
Color: colorless

Lord Rayleigh and Sir William Ramsay discovered Argon in 1894. Argon is mainly used in electric light bulbs and fluorescent bulbs.  Argon is also used as an inert gas shield for arc welding.  Mars's atmosphere has about 1.6 percent argon.
