Stephanie Yuma

Stephanie is originally from Bishop, Texas and has been teaching with the Department of Art, Communications, & Theatre since 2011. Stephanie earned her Bachelor of Arts degree in Communication from the University of Texas at San Antonio, Master of Arts degree in Communication from Texas A & M University-Corpus Christi, and her Doctorate of Education in Educational Leadership from Texas A & M University-Kingsville. Prior to teaching full-time, Stephanie’s experience in the field of communication included holding positions as the Marketing Director for the Chamber of Commerce, Communications Specialist for the College of Pharmacy, and Recruiter for both the Graduate Studies office and the TEACH Project at Texas A & M University-Kingsville. Her research interests include first-generation students, self-efficacy, and higher education recruitment /retention. She is a member of the National Communication Association and the American Educational Research Association.
