Requirements for a Minor

As an AGNRHS stucent, you can minor in Agribusiness, Agriculture Science, Plant & Soil Science, Animal Science, Range & Wildlife Management, or Human Science.

Animal Science

Minor Requirements

1. All of the following classes ANSC 1419 Introduction to Animal Science
ANSC 2307 Principles of Feed & Feeding
ANSC 2108 Applied Feeds and Feeding
ANSC 2310 Livestock Management Techniques

2. Two of the following classes (6 credit hours) ANSC 3309 Meat Preparation & Evaluation
*ANSC 3313 Repro. Physiology of Domestic Animals
ANSC 3335 Genetics of Livestock Improvement
*ANSC 4307 Animal Nutrition
*ANSC 4303 Anatomy & Physiology of Domestic Animals

3. One of the following classes (3 credit hours) ANSC 3302 Swine Management
ANSC 3304 Beef Management
ANSC 3305 Market Classes & Grades of Livestock

Minor Requirements

You can minor in Human Development and Family Studies, Fashion and Interiors Merchandising, Food and Nutrition Science, and Family and Consumer Sciences.

Total Credit Hours - 18
A minimum of six hours must be upper level courses. Each individual human science minor is tailored to the student's career goals. Students need to see a Human Science advisor for courses tailored to their specific needs.
