About the Associate Vice President for Information Technology/CIO
Robert Paulson joined Texas A&M University-Kingsville in June 2010 with over 25 years of experience in information technology in the university setting. His most recent appointment was vice president of technology services and CIO at State Fair Community College where he was a member of the Executive Leadership Committee and a direct report to the president. He assisted college leadership with direction and implementation of technology solutions to achieve strategic objectives, developed the IT Strategic Plan and Tactical Plans, created a governance committee and built an IT team with the focus on customer service and quality assurance.
Prior to that, he was director of enterprise services at University of the Pacific in California where he directed administrative systems, networking systems, computer operations, telecommunications, web applications, desktop support, help desk and technical support functions.
Paulson also worked at Kutztown University, West Virginia University and the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater.
He earned a bachelor’s degree in economics with minors in computer science and math from the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire.
