Alumnus Edgar Rodriguez is a 2012 accounting and finance graduate from Eagle Pass, Texas. He currently resides in Indianapolis, Indiana and is employed as a financial analyst with Eli Lilly. Attracted to A&M-Kingsville by the student to teacher ratio, he wanted to go to a school where they could put a name to a face. His fondest memories on campus include hanging out with his Delta Sigma Pi and Lambda Chi Alpha brothers and participating in the traditions A&M-Kingsville has to offer like Fall Carnival, Spring Fling, and attending the Javelina Football games. Being President of Delta Sigma Pi business fraternity was his best memory because that was the year the CBA chapter won three regional awards and one provisional award, beating 32 schools in the province. “The College of Business Administration prepared me by giving me the tools and skills such as mock interviews, résumé walk-ups, and the communication skill level I needed to succeed in my career. It also gave me the opportunity be a leader in many organizations and develop my leadership skills that helped me to become a successful individual.” He stays connected with the college through the monthly “Business Bulletin”, social media, and friends. His experience at the CBA changed his personal life because it got him out of his shell and it showed him what he was truly capable of doing. Advice for incoming freshman, “Get involved and take advantage of the things A&M-Kingsville has to offer”.
