Will a doctoral degree in Pharmacy be enough?
Texas A&M Health Science Center Rangel College of Pharmacy and the Texas A&M-Kingsville College of Business Administration are partnered to provide students of pharmacy the opportunity to earn two degrees, the Doctor of Pharmacy and the Master of Business Administration, in parallel. Thus, when students graduate, they are prepared not only for the clinical aspect of Pharmacy, but will also have the business background and skills necessary to enter management positions within pharmacy. Students are able to earn an MBA degree in less time and at a lower expense than if they were to pursue the two degrees independently.
- Satisfactory completion of pre-MBA Foundation courses
- Completion of first Pharmacy program year
- Letter of recommendation from the Dean of the College of Pharmacy
How it works
The dual degree Pharm.D./MBA program involves the fundamental elements of each program. All students must meet the requirements for admission to the two degree programs. Students complete the first professional year in the Pharm.D. curriculum, then the students add MBA courses in the summer session. A student can enroll in one MBA course each semester and two MBA courses each summer session.
