Dr. Delcoure Selected as Acting Dean
Dr. Natalya (Natasha) Delcoure has been selected as acting dean of the College of Business Administration at Texas A&M University-Kingsville, pending approval from the Board of Regents of the Texas A&M University System. She will assume her appointment July 1, 2013.
Most recently, Delcoure served as a professor of finance and associate dean for the Lucas School of Business at San Jose State University, where she has worked on maintenance of the university’s Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business (AACSB) accreditation and the development of an executive MBA program. Mobil Steel Earns Prestigious
HOUSTON (April 17, 2013) – Texas A&M–Kingsville (TAMUK) 1968 graduate Leonard A. Bedell has been busy picking up business and business awards as president and CEO of Mobil Steel International, Inc. Mobil Steel won the Associated Builders and Contractors (ABC) Greater Houston Chapter Business Excellence Awards in the fourth quarter of 2012 and in late January, 2013, was named ABC Houston member company of the year. Mobil Steel fabricates steel for industrial construction projects in petrochemical, manufacturing and utilities industries, as well as commercial construction. These industries have seen a resurgence during 2012-2013 leading to U.S. economic recovery.. Read more.
Melissa Thompson Receives the
Delta Sigma Pi Key
Interim Dean Rick Aukerman, Ilene Deleon, Amanda Stanley, and Michael Damon presented Melissa Thompson with the Delta Sigma Pi key. This award is given to the graduating senior with the highest grade point average in the college. Melissa is a senior accounting major and CBA student tutor from Pleasanton, Texas. She is one of the recipients of the Farm Credit Bank of Texas Scholarship, The Academy of Honor Scholarship Award” and is a member of Delta Mu Delta Honor Society. Her extra-Curricular Activities include: Relay for Life, the Bigger Event and Volleyball. She aspires to pursue her Master’s degree and become a Certified Public Accountant. Sulayman Jack is Selected as
Distinguished Undergraduate Recipient
Sulayman Jack has been selected the recipient of the Spring 2013 Distinguished Undergraduate Student Award from the CBA. This award is sponsored by the Student Government Association and will be presented at Commencement. To be nominated, students must meet specific criteria demonstrating excellence in and outside the classroom.
Sulayman is an Information Systems major from The Republic of Gambia, Africa. He completed an internship as a business systems analyst at Bay Ltd in Corpus Christi. He is on the Dean’s List, Honor Roll, Who’s Who Among Students in American Universities and Colleges and a Member of Delta Mu Delta Fraternity. He is Vice President of the Association of Information Technology Professionals (AITP) and aspires to enhance his current exposure as a business systems analyst and acquire a Master’s degree in Business Administration with a concentration in Information Systems.

Spring Commencement for May 10
More than 850 prospective graduates are ready to cross the stage to receive their degrees during four commencement ceremonies to be held at the Steinke Physical Education Center at Texas A&M University-Kingsville Friday, May 10.
Graduating at the 10 a.m. ceremony will be all degree candidates from the Dick and Mary Lewis Kleberg College of Agriculture, Natural Resources and Human Sciences and the College of Business Administration, as well as the master’s degree candidates from the College of Arts and Sciences. Read more.
