Professor/student Collaboration Culminates
in a Published Journal Article
Christina My—Tuyan Truong, Senior Finance major, partnered with Dr. Thomas Krueger on a manuscript, “Using Common Financial Proverbs to Teach Finance to Students from Vietnam,” that was subsequently accepted by the Asian Forum on Business Education. This is a blind-referred journal with a 30% acceptance rate (Cabell’s Directory of Publishing Opportunities in Finance).
This is the outcome of the first student to participate in faculty/student collaboration research in the “Value-Added Immersion Experience” offered by the College of Business Administration at Texas A&M University-Kingsville. Six articles were chosen for this edition of AFBE. Two articles are authored by professors in China, one in Kazakhstan, one in Nigeria, and two in the United States. We are in very good company!.
