First Business Seminar of the Semester
to Be Given by Tony Martinez
The College of Business Administration at Texas A&M University-Kingsville will host a Business Seminar at 8:30 a.m. Tuesday, Feb. 21 in the Community Room at Kleberg Bank, 100 E. Kleberg in Kingsville. The featured speaker is Tony Martinez, former professional improvisational comedian and current owner of TheCrushGirls.com, one of the top five media news websites in the Coastal Bend. He will talk about Creating and Promoting a Facebook Page for Your Business. Read more
Two New Presentation Rooms Are Opened
The College of Business Administration building recently unveiled two new communication labs and an interview room located on the first floor. The rooms are available to all students. The purpose of the communication labs is to help students improve their oral communication and develop their presentation skills. It allows students an opportunity to practice the communication techniques they learned in classes through rehearsing and recording interpersonal and small group communication. In addition, an interview room was added fro prospective employers to have a defined and private space in the building for on and/or off campus visits with students about internship and career opportunities.
Former Business Professor Receives
Four former faculty and administrators were honored with Professor Emeritus status during winter commencement at Texas A&M University-Kingsville. The Professor Emeritus status is an honor reserved for former faculty who have served for an extended period of time, 10 years or more, and have made significant contributions to the university.
